Year's Eve Tradition
Knight Music is a tradition at the Little Club in the Town of Gulf Stream.
Ted Knight's bands have played dozens of dates at the club since the 1980s, including private parties as well as dinner dances like the annual Halloween party.
Each New Year's Eve he's glad to be back at the Little Club, playing for people who really appreciate his music.
The mix starts with swing, foxtrots, jazz and blues with an occasional rock and roll or calypso number for variety, and the dancers love it.
Club manager Douglas Dugan said a capacity crowd of more than 200 people partied at the club this New Year's Eve, and he had a waiting list. He's reserved Knight Music for several dates in 2010, including New Year's Eve.
