Glen plays more than fifty instruments, from
sax and trumpet to French horn and bassoon.
His
baritone sax is often heard anchoring the horn section of Ted's orchestra
and big band. He also plays
vibes and percussion, and plays flute and recorder for wedding ceremonies.
He's Ted's chief arranger as he was for Ted's late father,
Vic Knight. In fact, Glen met Ted when they both became founding members of Vic's
big band in 1979. Hear Glen's arrangement of
Night Train, adapted for four horns
from the Henry Mancini big band chart.
Glen is
a fine vocalist, handles lighting when needed, and
doubles as a disc jockey. Remarkably multi-talented, he's a tremendous asset
to the organization.
